Brief about Mumbai Metro Line 1 project:
New metro line EastWest connecting with two overcrowded suburban train lines in Andheri and Ghatkopar in North of Mumbai, 100% elevated on viaduct, standardgauge doubletrack 12 kmlong, 12 elevated stations, one depot / workshop, 25 kv AC overhead, headway of 3.5 mn at peak, 7 mn off peak, service from 5:30 till 24:00, commercial speed 33 km/h, journey time 21 mn, 16 trains of 4 cars each (13 for commercial service atpeak + 3 spare trains), 1.9 million train x kms per year, expected ridership of 500,000 passengers per day i.e. more than 6 passengers per m2 at peak hour. All these data are for year one and ridership, number of trains and level of service will increase over the years.
Project awarded by MMRDA (Mumbai Metro Regional Development Agency) through a Concession Agreement on a B.O.T. basis to MMOPL (Mumbai Metro One Pvt. Ltd.) (66% REL, 26% MMRDA and 5% VT SA). Concession for 35 years, including a maximum period of 5 years for implementation and the rest for operation. The Concession Contract was signed on March 7th, 2007.
An O&M Agreement is made between MMOPL and the Metro One Operation Pvt. Ltd. (70% VT India Pvt. Ltd. and 30% REL) for the operation and maintenance of the system.
The scope of work of Metro One Operation Pvt. Ltd. relates to the preparation of the COD and the operation and maintenance of the system. The scope includes train driving, train control room, station management, ticket selling, passenger information, customer care, maintenance of the whole system. The scope excludes the security of the system, the management of ancillary business and the maintenance of the civil structures and the rolling stock. The Company will have 551 employees including directors, controllers, station employees, maintenance, marketing, customer relation, HR, finance and administration.

Job Description:
JOB PURPOSE:
- To support HR functions including recruitment, training and development for all employees.
- This role requires the candidate with high level of motivation and energy and involves high level of interaction with employees and external parties.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:
- Support the HR Team as and when required.
- Coordination with candidates for medical tests, background verification.
- Coordinate with the Corporate HR Team to ensure a smooth Employee Induction Process.
- Assist the HR team in conducting HR audits to ensure that site procedures are being properly executed and the site is meeting all Company rules and regulations.
- Effective coordination with the performance management program and advise the field employees on queries and issues related to the performance appraisals.
- To support and participate in the rollout of training programmes for field employees.
- Ensure that all employees are well aware of the HR policies and procedures to be followed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- BMS OR MBA – HR from a reputed business school.

- A smart fresher who is enthusiastic can also be considered.
